Roasted Cauliflower Soup for a Rainy Day

January 18, 2010

It’s pouring today in Los Angeles, and I don’t want to go anywhere past my front door.   I made a delicious cauliflower soup from a recipe found here. A few modifications included doubling the amount of garlic, adding corriander to bring out the flavor of the nutmeg, and adding a dash of cayenne pepper.  I love cayenne pepper and add it to almost anything.

The sprouts are doing well and I think it’s about time to move the tomatoes into larger 4″ pots.  They’re getting really tall.  The real leaves on the tomatoes and basil have started to grow in.  It really is so adorable to see them peek out behind the larger first sprout leaves.  Hello little basil!
